Ecocoat Wheel

IGL Coatings Ecocoat Wheel is a REACH-compliant nanotechnology ceramic coating designed specifically for wheels and rims. It provides durable protection against brake dust, dirt, corrosion, high temperatures, and chemical contamination, while enhancing gloss, slickness, and ease of maintenance. The coating forms an interlocking glass-like layer on a molecular level, delivering strong resistance and long-lasting performance. It features over 90% active material content and cures to an extreme hardness of up to 9H (pencil scale). With a hydrophobic contact angle above 95°, it repels water effectively and maintains this performance over time, making cleaning significantly easier. The coating also offers resistance to micro-marring, staining, and harsh brake dust exposure. Application is simple and straightforward, with a recommended consumption of approximately 10 ml per car. The coating thickness is about 0.5 μm and provides protection lasting up to 12 months or around 20,000 km under normal conditions. It can withstand temperatures below 400°C, making it suitable for demanding driving environments. Performance ratings include durability (3.5/5), gloss (4/5), hydrophobicity (3/5), and slickness (3.5/5). It also has a VOC level of 30 ml.
